  • Replacement Speakers for 6.5 by 4

I'm looking to get the best speakers for volume and sound quality for 300 or under. What are my choices. I have an alpine 7894 HU with 4 pioneer 3-ways right now. I also have a 12" sub with a sony Xplod 222W amp. I've looked at Alpine, Infinity and MB quart...any other suggestions....please include model numbers if you klnow them.

Will these 4 new speakers be powered by an aftermarket amp?

I'd go with these for the fronts...

CDT Audio Classic Series 6.5" Components $149.99

        and this amp...

        HIFONICS APOLLO Amplifiers
        75x4 @ 4ohm $ 189.99
        http://www.thezeb.com/caraudio/hifonics.html

and if you wanted rear speakers, I'd go with the
        CDT Audio 2ways $47.99
        http://www.thezeb.com/caraudio/CDT_Audio_FullRange.html

Save up an extra 90 bucks and get this, it will be well worth it.

Where ever you want, attach them to the door, mount them on the mirror attachment or even on the dash anywhere up a little higher from the speaker will be fine.

Actually, for the price, that's not a half bad setup! Many people put the tweets in the A-pillers

Alright i'm narrowing it down....what do you guys think about Alpine Type R or Infinity Kappa 6.5 component systems? I like both, but i'm hearing mixed opinions about which is better...any ideas?

go with infinity kappa components up front.

Then get some infinity 2 way coaxial in the back.

Dont waste your money on 3 ways, most likely you wont be able to hear the diffrence.

dont get the Kappa Perfects... they sound great but not that big of a diffrence over the kappas to pay that much money
