  • what do you think?

I need to replace my factory speakers (monsoon blown!) I want to keep the factory HD and go with an aftermarket amp (which one?). I want to go with the Infinity Kappa 63.5i 3way 6 1/2" in the front. Will these fit? What would you recommend for the middle speakers (ones right behind front seats) ? Should I take out the speakers in the hatch area and put nothing in? Thanks for all your advice!

First of all, to keep the factory deck with an aftermarker amp, you'll need a pac-oem. Someone will probably give you a link in a later reply, but you get it at www.affsave.com . Probably can't find it on their site without a link though. That's most likely gonna run you just under $100. Is keeping the factory deck worth that? You can get a decent aftermarket HU for $200 or less.

Second, NEVER buy 3way coax's. This is a WASTE of money. They will not perform any better than a 2-way. Do not buy in to this BS fad. I'd like to smack the fool who made the first 3way coax.

Third, the stock speakers are 6.75 inches, not 6.50. The 6.75 speakers are usually labeled 6.5 S, at least that was the format back when I didn't know any better and ran with coax's. Any 6.5 S, 6.75 inch, or anything labeled as oversized 6.5 will fit. The speakers in the hatch are pretty much good for nothing, and the rear seat speakers, well, many different opinions there. I don't run any. If I were to run any, they would be dedicated woofer's only, such as the Adire Audio Koda's.

Fourth, look in to some components instead of coax's.

Fifth, don't count on anything but a sub to give you decent bass.
