couldn't wait for my pac gm9 audio adapter to come in today, so i finally get it and get the stock cd player out. i unplugged the stock wire running to the cd changer(that I dont have) plugged in the 9 pin adapter from the PAC box, perfect fit. so then i plug the original 9 pin adapter to the female connection coming out of the PAC box, perfect fit. run to radio shack pick up a rca to headphone cable, plug it in to my ipod press cd/play on my headunit, and nothin. so i double check everything, and I start looking at the plug from the cd changer wiring to the female connection on the PAC box and there are 2 rows with 9 holes in each one, well it look like the receivers on hte pins are on the top row, and the pins plug into the bottom row, so there is essentially no connection. I go to pull ou the 9 pin plug fromt he back of my radio and i cant even get it out to check and see if it is the same way. HELP PLEASE

well, it does come out from the back of the radio. I know when I put one on my tahoe, I couldnt use the factory extension cable that ran to my cd changer, it had to be directly plugged into the radio, that should solve it...try wiggling and just yanking on the wire...it'll listen. ;)

thanks nikon, but i think my problem is switching over to the input. I have everything plugged in right, but I can't switch to the changer input. I tried pressing cd/play, but the cd player would just keep playing.
do you actually have a changer in your tahoe too, or just the wiring for it?2000 firebird w68, a4
100% stock, but not for long

ok well the way mine worked is I had it directly plugged into the headunit, then the cd changer extension cable plugged into that. with a cd changer still hooked up. Now with mine it had a 3 way switch and two sets of rca inputs on the little box, when the switch was in the middle, OR unplugged from the box the cd changer would keep playing, in order to get the sound to come through it you had to flip the switch WHILE the CD changer was still playing a cd, you dont push the aux button twice only once to get your cd changer playing, once its playing flip the switch and you should cut your sound out or playing whatever you have running through your rca's lemme know if this is how yours is. but I had the pac9 and thats how mine worked. Lemme know.

well I don't have a cd changer in my firebird so I can't use that method. I thought I could use this product without a cd changer, but it looks like I must have a cd changer in order to use this adapter.
I could swear that I read a couple different times that people were using these without cd changers.2000 firebird w68, a4
100% stock, but not for long

well, yes there are different models
http://www.cardomain.com/item/PACAUXBOX
thats the one you need since you dont have a cd changer
IM guessing this is one you bought
http://www.jpcustoms.com/store/custo...cat=306&page=1
but you also could have bought this one since it works with OR without a cd changer
http://www.jpcustoms.com/store/custo...cat=306&page=1
but I had that one and it didnt control my cd changer at all...so if you still wanna do it, go with the first one....good luck.
