Hello all, I have a few questions about the solobarics. I am lookin at getting either 1 12 L7 or 2 10 L7's. My question is, which setup is better, and what is a good amp for each set up, Thanks for any help.

If you have a little extra cash, go with a pair of L7 12s. Otherwise, it's a toss-up. Keep this in mind. If you ever want to sell them. The 12s are more popular and easier to sell. I'm making a box for a single 12 right now. I have a pair of the 10s though. Still very loud. I'm using a RF 800.2 for power. For the single sub, you definately should look into mono amps. Just make sure you get the dual 4ohm voice coils and not the dual 2ohm voice coils. Pics of my box are in that other thread started by v6maro

I'm running a single Solo Baric 12" L5 which just came out this year. It's a square sub as the L7, basically the same but at a less price point. I have the Kicker KX 700.5 amp rated around the 750 mark. It's a 5 channel amp that runs my intire system, however, my sub is only getting around 500 watts and it really needs 600 or more. I totally love Kicker products and I think you've made a good choice going with the Solo Baric.

2 10L7 will be louder then 1 12L7 simpily because they have more cone space and can displacement more air. It will cost a bit more for 2 subs and the power to power them, but it depends what you want.

I say, go for the two 10's!! More cone area, plus it should be a bit more accurate. Just be sure to have LOTS of power. :D
