  • Sail panel speakers

I have a 98 Firebird with the monsoon. I had to replace the front speakers (previous owner blew passenger speakers) replaced with JL TR650's. I liked the quality and decided to replace the sail planes with the same. But now I am having regrets...would like to put back in the originals but keep the tweeters. Just want some input. Plan on getting a Stealthbox down the road and I have an Eclipse head unit.

i say get rid of the entire monsoon... get rid of the speakers, and go all aftermarket.. , if u rewire the rear speakers instead of using the factory wiring it should sound better.. give it a shot.

Well what if I put some JL audio (or something of same or better quality) 8" or 6" subs in where the 6" sail panel speakers are. I doubt they will fit. But if they don't mabye make a fiberglass box that would fill up the space were the armrest? on the sides are and leave the TR650's in...

they need to be low impedance 4 ohm and be very efficient
in providing good bass with few watts or you will barely
hear it and it will be a BIG waste of money
