have any of u guys had this. I got a 96 bird and stock stereo with EQ. My problem is that the stereo system is starting not to read CD's at all. It reads burned CD's like 10% of the time and real Cd's like 50% of the time. Everytime i put the CD in, it spits it out saying E20 or error 20. I tried using many cleaners but still no improvement. I don't wanna waste money taking it to the dealer and getting it fixed. Do any of u know what i should do to fix this myself??

had the same problem with my 99, took it back in*was under warranty* and they 'replaced it' which i think they just took the old one out and blew it out with air
i noticed when it would do it though my cds would be extremely hot, so i thought the built in amp in the deck was overheating it or something
i dont know exactly what it was but the only thing that fixed it was going to a local electronics store and buying a new head unit, which i like better than the stock one anyhow
