amp in spare tire well in use ?

i noticed a black amp in my tire well area and i do not have a monsoon system so what is this for ?

'97 and early '98 model Camaro's Monsoon head units simply said "Delco Electronics" just like the non-Monsoon systems. So it is entirely possible that you may have the monsoon system and just not know it!

no i dont i dont have the tweeters in the hatch

I would have to agree with 96firebird311 in saying you may have the monsoon system. :cool: The factory amp wouldn't be in there for looks. Even if you don't have tweeters in your hatch it don't matter because according to the Modification Encyclopedia on this website, Monsoon Camaro's don't have tweeters way back there. If you still have doubts, unplug the amp's wiring harness (its easy to access once the spare tire is removed) and turn on your stereo. If no sound, you have the Monsoon. :D
