Last week I put a Xm Commander in the Firebird wired to the stock Monsoon HU. The sound quality is awful, not only is the sound volume low (even though I jacked up the output level as high as it will go)but it seems that the music is not in stereo...sounds kind of mono, I have tried receiving it on every channel available but it sounds like total crap on all of em. Any clues on what may be the problem or is this the nature of the beast..cause if it is I'm yanking it back out..the music on regular radio sounds WAY better

need some more info, how is it connected? wireless RF? wired RF? gm-aux? are your sound wires running very close to your power wires? If your running wireless you need to move the sending unit closer to your headunit, if wired, check your connections, Ive never liked the sound quality of an RF but I've never had them sound really bad. just not to my liking.
