  • Replacement monsoon speaker doesn't work?

My little brother's 98 bird (w/monsoon) blew a rear seat speaker (not hatch) so he bought a new monsoon one to replace it with. However the one he got is 2 ohm. I took the other one off and it was 4 ohm and the connecter you use to hook it up doesn't match, so the new one work work. Did he get the wrong speaker? Or what happened? any ideas? Thanks

The woofers (back seats) in the Monsoon setup are all 2ohms. Firebird woofers have dual 4ohm voice coils that are run in parallel as a 2ohm load. Maybe they gave him one from a camaro?
