  • Wiring an amp with the stock head unit-PAC OEM-2?

I was planning to just get new speakers and power them off the stock head unit, but I can get other stuff pretty cheap. I'm thinking about getting four new Infinity speakers, an amp, and an Infinity 10" or 12" sub, but I don't want it to stand out too much and want to keep the stock head unit.

I found something about the OEM-2 adapter that gives you preouts from the stock head unit, but I don't know for sure that it works with the base four speaker system in the Camaro. Does anyone know if it's as good as getting an aftermarket head unit if you're powering the speakers off the amp?

if you are powering the speakers of the amp it will sound slightly better than stock, but no it will not sound as good as an aftermarket HU that was made for this type of setup.

I orignally had OEM-1 on this post and changed it to OEM-2 because I found a site that made it sound like I needed an OEM-2. Maybe the site just confused them or something.
