So you all know the light in my reveiw mirror. It flickers on and off after I hit a bump. I know it sounds like a short some where. Where would I check for the short???

I had that problem once with the right (pass side)bulb. Turns out that the metal filiment inside of the bulb was cracked, and when I hit a bump, it would vibrate the filiment and make the light go on and off. Cheap fix...if thats your problem.sigpic

Interesting... I wish I could say that this was a possibility. Given that both lights in the rearview mirror and the dome light are affected, it's unlikely. I'm tempted to just pull the fuze or the individual bulbs for now, but I'm hoping it turns out there is a common cause for this I can fix somewhat easily.
FWIW, I thought that the interior light dimmer switch had something to do with it, but it seems that this problem occurs regardless of position.
