• cd player problem

i let some girls sit in my car and listen to some of my cds while i went to my buddies dorm room for a little while. well i come back, and they say the cd player isnt taking cds. i try it, and there is something blocking the cds from going in. they said that they didnt put any cds in there, but i'm pretty sure they inadvertantly did something to mess up my cd player. any ideas as to what is blocking the cds from going in?

they might have shoved the cd in instead of allowing the mechanism to pull it in and thus damaging it. this happened to me once with my old alpine. basically all i had to do was manually remove the cd by taking the unit apart and then it worked again. i'm not sure this is what will be wrong with yours though.

if it is like my monsoon the plastic trim around the outside of the player and ac controls just pops out and reviels the screws behind it.

i finally got the cd out. i didnt have to take apart the trim and cd player. all i had to do was unscrew the battery cable which reset the car's electronics. i reconnected the battery and pressed eject, and the cd popped right out
