  • black light wiring up help

Ok, I got this little black light from a friend of mine for free. I wired it into my underbody neon system, since the neons have a little box where you can plug four 12 volt items into. Since I only have two underobodies, I cut off the cigerette lighter plug from the blacklight, and wired it into that black box. When i switch it on, the blacklight doesn't come on though. So I'm assuming it's not a 12 volt light, and the cigerette lighter plug had a convertor or whatever in it. So if the light isn't a 12 volt, how can I wire it up to the black box and still have it work? Do I need something to go on the wire of the blacklight? I'm not an electronics expert, so I could use a lil help here.

Well, I got it workin. Had to wire it up individually. I just took the lil circuit board out of the cig lighter plug, stowed that away behind the dash, and wired the wires up to the rear of the cig lighter plug :-d
