why the kickers? there are several better brands for the money. and here i go again plugging my favorite audio company... Elemental designs makes great subs that are a good blend of sq and spl and take up very little space, and they are very reasonable www.edesignaudio.com. what amp are you looking at too because you have to look into what amp you want while you are looking at subs so you get a good match.2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard

The Kicker CVR12 used to be $130 at sounddomain.com. But I was looking at them yesterday and there now only like $73.
My question is do you know if the local audio dealers also dropped their prices that low.
And I really dont know what kind of amp I am going to use. The CVR12 are 400watts rms and 800watts maximum. What amp should I use? 95 Camaro 3.4 convertible
95 Nissan Sentra GXE Twin Cam

I have not noticed a change around sound advice at all, nor at best buy, circuit city and those crappy places. Sound domain has always been high to me though, so maybe they are trying to change that. Check some other online stores and see what they are going for over there, this could just be old stock that they are trying to unload (not a problem just a possible reason for the price).
now if you are dead set on those subs (which i would really think about not going with) you need to look for an amp that puts out 400-500wrms @ 4 ohms if you are just going to use one svc sub. If its more than one or if its a dvc sub then it starts to get to where i would need to know more. I really like the ed amps but jbl, xtant, hifonics, jl, and others would be fine make sure you look at the rms power, the thd(you want this to be low), and s/n ratio. you will be very happy with the added bass from any system over stock but to get the best sound quality out of it you need to do research as to what others say. good luck.

You probably aren't going to find any GOOD deals at an audio shop. You're best bet would be online somewhere. I got my two 12" Infinity Kappa Perfects off ebay for under $250.Black 1996 3.8L Firebird A4
--------------------------
Custom CAI, Flowmaster Dual Exhaust, 160 Deg Thermo, BMR ShockTower Brace
JVC mp3 HU, two 12\" Infinity Kappa Perfects, Infinity 6.5\" components, JBL 600.1 & 80.4 amps
Pics

I've been doing some research and everyone says they sound great and that they slam real hard.
Ive never bought nothing from the internet so I need a little help. Lets say I were to buy those CVR12 kickers for $89 how much would be the total amount I would pay? (tax,shiping,handling)95 Camaro 3.4 convertible
95 Nissan Sentra GXE Twin Cam

yeah... um, even 89 is really to much for that sub. www.ikesound.com has them for 75 each. after shipping it will come to somewhere between 100 and 125 each. Now for a much better sub it is worth the extra money. look for some infinity kappa subs. they will be in the same pricerange as the kickers and sound a lot better.2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard

Unless you are ordering from a website that is homebased out of your state, there will be no tax. Shipping and handling will obviously be different depending on where you order. But that's something to watch. Especially when buying something this large and heavy.
If sounddomain has them for $73, check shipping charge. You can add them to your cart and then start checkout with any fake name, but use your real zip code. It will then give you the shipping charge to your zip right before you have to enter your CC info. If you like the price, back up and use your real info. If not, close it. Here's a pair on Ebay. $139+$32 s/h/i =$172 on your doorstep. If you want to use Ebay, lemme know and I'll tell you more about it. And finally, if that $89 price is from a local store, I say jump on it. They'll have a full warranty and you won't have to wait for shipping.
As far as my personal opinion on those particular subs, they're ok for the price. They're 70 bucks a piece. They'll hold up against other subs in this price range. May also want to look at the Alpine Type-S. It's up to you.
P.S. Ooooooo... just remembered something. Check out the FEB issue of Car Audio and Electronics mag. They have a four budget subwoofer comparison in there. The subs were:
(in order of most final points)
1. Arc Audio KAR10D
2. Crossfire DB310D
3. Phoenix Gold Octane-R10D
4. Scosche EFX HWD1044
Yes, they are 10" versions. But just switch the "10" in each model number with a "12" and I bet you'll find the 12"ers.
