I want to get a cheep small amp and 10in sub. I'm looking for anything good just a little better.

how many channel amp should i get. i'm only looking for maybe 200 watts if that much.

swapping the rears for 6x9s would really depend on the model/brand speaker you buy..it could make a huge difference..i just replaced my rear seat side passenger speakers for 250 watt sony xplods and they're awesome! ..with one 10" sub powered by 200 watts dont be expecting a "thumping system" ..its just loud enough to give you a little better sound quality..and deeper bass for rock and stuff..thats basically what the MTX Thunderform is..so if thats what you're looking for i would go with one of those..if you only want one sub but are looking for more power..i had a 1000 watt sony amp (which you can get for cheap on ebay) hooked up to a thunderform box (which you can get from subthump.com) with a 1100 watt 10" sony xplod sub (which you can also get cheap on ebay) and that ROCKED ..or you could buy my dual 12" setup..but beware..properly powered it will thump your organs against your rib cage :D

oh my god you didnt just recomend Xplods did you? those are not very reliable speakers nor are they the best for the price. i would recomend against the 6x9's too they wont give you the same effect as a good 10 and if you get a 10 they will be useless since your components will cover your low-mids to highs and the sub will cover your low frequencies that the speakers dont hit. take a look at elemental design for quality subs, amps, speakers, and support for a very reasonable price. also its really easy to install all of this yourself and even make a box if you are even decent at wood working or you could buy one from subthump or ED if you buy the subs from them. good luck.
