best speakers??

Ok im lookin to replace the speakers in my 91 camaro. I dont plan on getting subs or an amp as of yet so i want speakers that will give me some good bass. Im thinking of spending around $130 give or take and was looking at rockford fosgate or infinity 6x9. What speakers do you guys think give best overall sound and bass in that range?

Well for that money you might as well get components. They are the best kind of speakers to buy. As for brand name well its to prefrence I prefer Alpine, JL, MB Quart, Focal. gotto Ikesound he has the best prices in the world for car audio. His ebay feedback is positive 25,000 +

i had a pair of infinity 6x9 300 watt speakers in the backseat panels of my third gen, and they sounded awesome, even just running off the head unit

i put in rockfords all the way around in my car and i love them. they sound great even running off the stock head unit

If your really wanting good quality sound you not going to get it without an amp. I like JL Audio, MB Quart, and some pioneers and Infinitys. Composit speakers arn't a must any more, you can get coaxel for cheapper and they still sound good.
