Amp Opinion

Ok guys, I need everyones opinion here. A friend on mine is wanting to run a single Kicker L7 in the extended cab of his 2000 S-10. The question I have is what would be an ideal amp tp ush this. I know a lot of you out there rave about certain JL amps, I just can't remember the model numbers. I'd also like to hear any other suggestions you guys might have. And also, just so you know, we're working in the 200-300 dollar range for the amp. Thanks guys!

Well it really matters what size sub it is. 10", 12", 15"? They all have different RMS ratings. I have a JL 500/1 and it is the best amp that I have used. However, in your case I would recommend either a JBL bp600.1 or a bp1200.1. These are very nice amps and can be had for around 170 (600.1)/250 (1200.1). That'll leave you with some money for a few 12 packs after the install. ;)

Sorry, I guess I forgot to say that he was looking at a 12" L7. Just slipped my mind. Thanks for opinions Freeser. Any idea where I can find the specs on those JBL amps?

or
BP600.1
Both amps are stable to 1 ohm, but don't output any more power. For a single L7, I would just go for the 600.1 [img]smile.gif[/img]

Thanks guys! I think this is definitely what he should go with. Heck, after look at the 122.1 , I think I might just have to pick one up for myself sometime down the line.
