stealthbox not fitting

I've tried hammering, banging, and kicking the stealthbox i got from subthump.com into that little cubby, and it seems that it fits perfectly fine, but when i put the plastic panel back on, it doesnt fit. any1 having troubles like this also?

weird..i wonder what kind of dimensions they use at subthump..the one i got years ago from crutchfield fit perfect..what exactly do you mean by it doesnt fir when you put the plastic panel back on?..does the box stick out to far into the ttop well?..or is it too tall and the platic panel wont snap back into place?

yea, the panel doesnt fit properly with the stealthbox in. i think maybe its too tall or maybe its just sticking out too far.

hmmm..does the box sit flat against the bottom?..from the pics of it ..it doesnt look like the part that goes towards the front of the car has the same kinda curve my crutchfield one had..maybe it just looks that way in the pic

the one i had fit no problem..no problems with the panel or anything your describing..id give them a call and see what they recommend..and if you cant get anywhere with them id return it and just get the unloaded box from crutchfield or look for it on ebay

There is a thick factory wiring harness (harness that holds all the brake light wiring) located in the cubby hole area, towards the top. Make sure the box isn't catching on that and preventing it from sliding all the way in.

When I put the one I built into my car, I have to drop it down in the area where the T-Tops go first and then slide into the cubby hole. Trying to go at it from an angle doesn't work and causes the box to get wedged.

I can't tell or not but does the box have notches located on the very top of the box...on top of the baffle? If so then never mind. If not, look under the plastic panel, there are two thin plastic like ribs which prevent the panel from resting "flat" on the box. I had to trim those flush so the panel would fit all the way down. Also try "wiggling" the box into place, it should go.

The box is notched for the gussets on the inner side of the panel. I have sold tons and tons of them and you are the first person to have any issues so I think it's a matter of isolating what is different in your car than the other hundred people in the last few months. I have a feeling there is something in the car that the box is riding up on. I have one in my car and no problems there. Perhaps it's the bolt for the cd changer or maybe the removable carpeting is in the way preventing it from going all the way in or down. If the clip for the wiring harness is in the way, simply release it. I had to release mine, although mine is a 12 box and a little larger design than the 10" box. when did you start selling that 12" stealthbox. I didn't notice it when I ordered mine. I got mine like a lil more than a week ago.

I've been doing them sparingly since fall. Mostly for the guys that inquire about them. Just never posted them for sale for a couple reasons. First is because I was waiting for my 12" sub to arrive so I could take pics. The advertisement looks so much better with a sub installed rather than an empty box lol. I've had my eD 12 on order for about 8 months, but I got impatient waiting on that so bought the Rockford you see just so I could take pics.

And second, I don't have many 12 boxes made up so I won't be able to sell them at high volumes until spring when I can really crank them out. But I've had them posted for about a week now.
