I have an audiobahn 10" sub rated at 900w rms with dual 4ohm voice coils (2ohm or 8ohm operation), and an audiobahn amp that is rated at 800w rms at 4ohm operation, or 400w rms at 2ohm operation.
If i wire the sub to operate at 8ohms and bridge the amplifier at 800w rms, how much power will the speaker actually be getting? Will the additional 4ohms of the sub reduce the power?
Which way would give me more power to the speaker, or would they be about equal because of the difference in ohm operation?
