i got my car checked by the dealer today and htey told me that i needed to replace the ignition cylinder on my car. the Security light stays on everytime i drive it and someitmes it doesn't even start. so they told me that the total would be $460, 400 for the parts and 60 for the keys. I was pissed so me and my dad decided to do it ourselves. We bought new ignition cylinder fromt he dealer for 60 bucks and two new keys, 30 bucks each. All we have to do now is repalce my old ignition cylinder with this new one. Does any one have any idea on how to take apart the steering wheel and reaplce this?? any website out there, i;'ve tried projecttransam.com but no help there.
thanks
Visit your dealer's shop and ask some of the technicians to see if they could help you. Never know, they might stop by and take a look. Would be way cheaper that way. I had my whole car re-keyed cost me 600 bucks. I have some of the cylinder parts left over (if I can find 'em). You're welcome to them. ;)
Still trying to find oil leak on my Camaro, it’s a tough one. I think it is the oil pressure sender myself. Leaking when raving and going into boost....
