Alarms are good, but no one relaly gives a sh1t if an alarm goes out, but its a good way to alert you..
If you want kick *** alarm get one with a remote pager, that pages you if the alarm goes off..
I have all kinds of alarm stuff in my car like dual zone proximities for front/rear, shock sensors, window break sensors, door sensors, trunk sensor, engine sensor, immobilizer, but seriously if the alarm goes off, ppl usually dont give a ****..
pager comes in handy so u can rush to its aid
yeah but detachable faceplate should be standard for new H/U's
plus with a detattachable faceplate, i've heard of people taking your head unit without the face, and then they just steal the face off of the same head unit that's on display in a car audio store
yea i have a detachable face plate but i herd if u remove it alot your connection clips wear out fast. whats the name of the alarm with the pager? sounds pretty cool, i can see me now when my car gets hurt i can jump out of class and go running down the hall yelling im comming baby!lol

yea, thats the best way to protect your car from *******s are school. I take the bus to school and my friend's truck on the way home.
I wont have to worry about my car the whole day at school with it safely in my garage. And the alarm pager is very annoying.
get one of the new DEI alarms
it comes with an LCD remote that tells you when the alarm is set off, and WHY! it'll give a pic of your car and tell like 'motion sensor' or something. Check it out.. I'm thinking about one too!
That happened to one of my friends cars! But the little f*cker didn't know the school had cameras on the parking lot! :D He was own3d when he came back to school the next day!!

Ive got an Autopage alarm that came with a 2 way LCD screen remote (simular to the one Mr.coffe's talkin about). It has remote start, starter kill, glassbreak sensors, ect. I can check the temprature, arm/disarm status, and it alerts you when the alarm goes off and why it went off. I installed it all myself which BTW was a PITA.
I have DEI's (they own VIper, Hornet, Clifford and just about every fuggin' thing else) Hornet 554t model. It is kinda pricey but I promise you will feel alot better. It has the 2 way pager option and it lets you know what the hell is going on with your ride. You can know the temp inside, what zone is being disturbed and all, a pimp-like luxury if you asked me. I work in the mall and when my proxy sensor goes off I know. Make sure you get a prxy sensor too man, that way people know your SH%# means business b4 they break your window, walk to close and she gives you 4 beeps, stay too long or too often and the full siren goes TFO. Do all you can man ie...the detachable face, alarm tint, club, whatever. If someone really wants to F%@# with your car you really can't stop them , it's all about not being an easy target. If you are a theif looking to get someone and one has a fuggin' alarm that beeps when I get close to it with no visible headunit (tint) and a fuggin' club on it, right next to one that's as open as Vanessa Del Rio at mardi gras, which one do you go for.......feel me?
