I can't remember where I saw this, but I thought it was a kick *** idea. This guy had a really nice HD in his dash, but he mounted it like 1/2 inch deeper than flush. Then he took the stock HD and tore the face panel off. He velcroed the stock HD face over the nice one. He cleaned it up really good, so it all was flush and stock look'en, until he got into the car and simply removed it, revealing the nice one.

Ya, but it only beeps like that a couple times before it goes off full siren. When you have the pager you know when the proxy senor "trips" also, you know when someone is close, or keeps getting close. The whole job ran me 700.00 but I got a lot of things done. That 7 included the alarm, installation of some aftermartket fog lamps, door acuators, the sensor, high range antenna; in other words a whole lot of sh#@.

More info on DEI's alarm pager:
http://viper.com/security/viper/viper_responder.asp

I just put the Viper 800esp in myself, I'm using it as more of a deturent, than anything else.. because if somebody really wants your stuff, they're going to get it.

I'm not sure on the actual specs but I have been around the corner from my apt and it still caught it with no problem. I park at the back of the mall parking lot (bastards have twice hit my car) and as soon as I walk out of the mall, I can do what I please with it, yet have I been disapointed. I guess my answer if FAR AS HELL

I've got the new Clifford RSIII 2 way pager alarm. It kicks a$$. Some kids were screwing around with mine and some coworkers cars and right when that pager went off we all rushed out there and put an end to it. It works great and the remote start is sweet

Well the site for the Viper claims that it will go 1/4 of a mile under "optimum conditions"... So my guess would be something a lot less that that..
