i disconnected the battery yesterday because i was doing some speaker work, and today when i started the car, the display on the head unit didnt light up. every thing works fine, just theres no light coming from the display. i checked the fuses next to the door and they were fine. its the 97 monsoon hu. any help is appreciated
thanx,
Lyle
dont think that has anything to do with wiring, you might have just blown the display in the head unit. I had that problem in a VCR a while back and ended up just buying a new one..

i had the same problem once.... and there was a piece of hair on the connections from the faceplate to the head unit.... check that.... it happen to be covering the face plates display connection... took eme like 15 min to figure it out... i felt like a dumbass
My Kenwood seems to display fine on startup if the car has been sitting for some time and about 15 minutes after driving the buttons (not the display) start blinking....at first slowly...then faster until they finally turn off. The display is still on and I have checked all my connections twice...what could it be?

Phone your GM dealer and tell him what your vin # is, there is a code that was installed with the radio and he will have to reset it. You will also be able to tell them what code to use and if/when this recourrs, you won't have to go in but just enter the code.
Do you have another f-body friend in your area that would let you borrow his stock deck for a couple of minutes? The swap would take a second or two in order to verify that the cause is in the deck or in the wiring up to the deck.

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
