I have an eclipse 8443 in now and the SQ on it is amazing. However, the radio reception is absolutely terrible. I had the monsoon system. The power antenna wire is hooked up and everything, but the reception is terrible. Any ideas on the problem?

Check the actual antenna input. Also, if it's bent like an L, straighten it out. My antena wire (that plugs into the antenna jack of the HU) was bent like and L and after I straightened the reception improved a little.

eDoog, good looks but everything is cool. There's another guy on elitecaraudio.com (ECA) that has a T/A and just put in an eclipse 8053 and has the exact same problem. These same eclipse models get GREAT reception in every other car. So we're tryin to figure out what we're doing wrong, and/or if the Monsoon system plays a role in this. Neither one of us used the wiring harness, we both used RCA's.
