Monsoon Error

I have two questions:

1. I am getting an "E20" when i try to place a cd in my monsoon stereo. Then it automatically ejects it after displaying E20. Does anybody know what this is or have encountered the same problem? By the way, I have a 1997 Pontiac Firebird.

2. I want to replace the bass/sub speaker on the sail panel on my firebird. It blew up. Does anybody know where I can get a replacement? What size are those speakers?

Well, I dont have the monsoon system, but is the cd you're trying to put in a cd-rw, or even a cd-r? That cd player may not play those, but I'm not 100% sure.

I get that occassionally if I put the CD in at an angle, or it tries to pull in the Cd and I don't let go soon enough. Also, if you try to push the CD in after it has already taken hold, I'll get the error code. Does it happen all the time, the same as the problems I have noticed it on, or is it random?

Mine plays burned CD's (CDR's) fine. It will not play CD-RW's though.

i dunno if its any consolation, but my firebird had a similar problem, which was only solved by replacing the head unit
i thought it was overheating but my local dipsh*t pontiac dealership said it was just the cds i was playing, even thuogh it did it with EVERY cd you put in to it, so i pulled the HU and threw it away and went and bought a kenwood

I think the E20 error all started when i started playing CD-R's on my Monsoon HU. Now, no matter what i put in on my HU (original CD's or CD-R's), It rejects it automatically and the E20 error appears. I can't play anything on my Monsoon HU.

Read the gm firebird manual it tells you what the E20 error is. i can't remember what it is but i remember reading it before.
