I just hooked up my deck, ran the power wires, rca's and speaker wire. Also I hooked up the power cable to the battery but i just left it in the back in between some cardboard cause I don't have my amp mounted yet. Also the battery was left unhooked for over 2-3 hours. Well I went to start up my car and nothing, battery totally drained. My buddy gave me a boost, and the car was running horribly rough, the lights inside and outside were flickering and the SES light was flashing. I let it run for around 5 minutes then tried to pull it up my driveway and all the power cut out. Any one please?

Flashing SES means you have a misfire. Power loss, running rough and different sounding exhaust are also all signs of a misfire. Check to make sure all your plug wires are firmly attached to the plugs. I know they just don't "fall off" by themselves..... or do they? Yep. Paid $100 for the Pontaic dealership to tell me that..... :(

In short... sounds like a misfire to me.

I'll second that. Make that the first thing you check. Make sure both (+) and (-) terminals on the battery have the cables securely attached.
