  • New System

so I've bought my new speakers and I ordered a PAC OEM-1. My friend said he can hook up my system and he has never heard of the PAC OEM-1. What do I do to install this? Can it even install without it. Is this going to be a big ordeal? I don't want to change out all the wires in my car.?
I want to install these 4 speakers of the HU and then later my hatch speakers and subs off of an amp. Will this work?
    Thanks

Im assuming your keeping the factory HU?? If so you will need a line out converter to add an amp to the monsoon system and the PAC OEM-1 is the easiest to use. Its completely plug n play so there is no splicing or cutting wires. It gives you two sets of rca's for the amp. Then you will just need to run new speaker wires from the amp to the speakers.

so I need to buy an amp to power the four speakers I have right now?
The front and the rear speakers are what I have right now.
The hatch speakers and the sub are next month's priority.

Yes you will need an amp to run those speakers. Nothing big though if your only powering coaxials or components. Dont buy any speakers for the hatch. Big waste of money. There is only 4" coaxials back there. I wouldnt even put any speakers in the back seat area but that is up to you.

This is true. Don't bother with those. In fact, take them out if you haven't already. One question: Why do you want to keep the factory head unit? If I was you, I would buy a powerful 4 channel amp. That way, you would have a large amp you can use when you want to rip out the monsoon system completly. Then you could concentrate on the sub/amp combo. Or second option: buy an aftermarket CD player and run your speakers off it. Let me know what you think.
