Are there any high output alternators that fit the 3.8 liter motor?

Yes. e-mail dominick@tds.net He can make you one of the highest idle output alternators on the market. I e-mailed him and here is his reply:
With minimal mods, I have a 220 amp that does between 130 and 160 amps at idle. Direct bolt on is 180 max with about 80 amps at idle.
