I would buy the type-X but I dont have enough money.

T-Punk I was looking at the Elemental Design products and was looking at this subwoofer Elemental Designs 11Kv.2 Subwoofer.

How would it compare to the Alpine type R?

much better sq imo and about the same spl. they make much better products than alpine imo. if you are looking at 10's those are your best bet.

Save up and buy the type x's. I would rather wait then buy stuff now and lose a few dB's because of it.

The kickers are better, i have had both, the only advantage that the type R has is the fact that it doesn't need as much space to hit as hard, the kicker is a space hore.

Good point. That should have been mentioned earlier.

nope, the 13kv.2's are the 12's. thats what i use to have. they were perfect in the sq department and could be made quite loud. also they dont require much airspace to make them sound right.
