            thanks for the info, and firefighter i did search, if you didnt notice ive been a member for a long time i know the deal. some people never change only their cars, lol.

              You have been a member for a long time, Before I told you to search I also looked at you number of posts because I never remember seeing your name before and I was right, You are never here. If you didn't find anything while searching for h.o. alts, then you didn't search very hard because I had one and made a few posts about them and where I got mine.

                i think the admins have cleaned the board a few times the only place and/or brand i found was www.4alterstart.com and to do the "BIG 3" so if you know of some other brands please tell me or give me a link.
                btw what happend to your fbody firefighter if i rember right you had a yellow camaro with body kits right?

                  I got mine from ebay, Lifetime warrenty and it was either 160 or 180 amps, I dont remember now.
                  I had a silver camaro and no body kit.

                          you can also get a smaller pulley on the the alt to make it spin faster thus creating more amps at lower RPM'S.

                          I was quoted about 30 shipped for that...

                              how good are the stock alternators on a 98-02 camaro? do you realy need an upgrade?
