i've seen that before. I think all it really does is reduce rattle when the box is bumping and maybe make the tone a little deeper because of less air space. Not sure though, its only $8.00 a pound.

is it any different that stuffing your box full of cotton padding? i'm thinking no. It might be a little less dense or something though. I'm not thinking its worth $8 though.

stuffing like that can help if you have a box that needs a little more space for the sub,

say you have a box allready and its airspace isnt quite what your sub needs and you need a slightly bigger box but dont want to buy one

      hope this helps

      best wishes

You can get the same stuff at wal-mart for 3 bucks. I really don't think you need it. The theory behind it's usage is to trick a sub into thinking it's in a bigger box than it is. It basically slows down the sound waves inside the box. Supposedly makes it louder. That's debatable though. Use about 1lb per cu.ft. of volume.

Probably not. If it did, don't you think all the heavyweight SPL champs woould be using it? The theory is what megabass said. I have also heard that it reduces standing waves in the box. And yes, the stuff you by at wal-mart for $1.95/pound is exactly the same.
