just got my amp and 6.5" kicker R6's in this afternoon and it sounds great. at first I had 2 of the factory wires I taped touching and I had that squeeling/crackeling sound but I got that fixed. but sometimes I get this poping/crackeling sound. its not the the sound of when the other wires were touching. its way louder and will almost make you jump out of your skin. I thought the wires coming from the amp to the R6's were toughing but I looked over it and couldn't seem to find where they were. any help guys?

I think I know what loud noise you're talking about. I've only heard noises like that when:
You have your stereo and amp turned on and while plugging your RCA's into the amp, it makes a very loud pop/screaching sound, like a bunch of feedback. I've also heard noises like that if you have a pinched RCA cable or if someone drove a screw through the cable accidently. I would double check your rca's and see if there is a problem. You may also want to temporarily string another set of rcas from your HU to your amp and see if the problem goes away.2006 Tiburon

i'll try another set of RCA's. I played with the gain on the amp and that seems to affect it some, but dosent seem to be the problem.95 Firebird<br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/673250\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/673250</a> <br /> <a href=\"http://photobucket.com/albums/y217/andrewbrandon19/\" target=\"_blank\">http://photobucket.com/albums/y217/andrewbrandon19/</a> <br /><br />me on a good day------> <a href=\"http://communicatio.webblogg.se/images/wet_cat_113159625.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">linky</a>
