i know some one with a Camaro, he took apart the antenna and stuck the internals inside his 3rd brake light. Now you cant see the antenna and its better reception.

if its a magnetic mount it needs to be mounted using the magnet, theres a reason it has that little piece of rubber sticking out the back, its so it has at least a square foot of a metal ground....the glass mounts however do not require this metallic ground, I had the same prob when I got XM and went ahead and got the glass mount....perfect reception....everywhere

I dont know if they fixed the glass ones, but when XM first came out, the TERK glass antennas flew off cars at higher speeds (highway speeds).

I had an XM antenna on my S-10 for about a year, with the 3M tape, and it never came off. When i wanted to take it off, i had to work it off, and it was difficult, but eventually did come off.

i installed so many of these systems, ive had problems with all types. the easiest way i found out how to do it, is just stick it on your dash. you'll lose some reception but it is tolerable.
