I put one in on my 96. It is fairly easy. I had to use the mounting shroud with biggest angle. It is a universal kit, so you will have some extra parts. But it was easy.

You put the RK Sport one in? You're happy with it? What kind of audio system do you have? Is it up only when on the radio? Thanks...

Yes, the RK sport one. I had to get the chrome one because they were sold out of the black at the time. I think I paid around $90 for the whole thing. I'm happy with it. It seems to be a little more durable and the antenna is a little thicker then the stock one. (It still fits in stock hole) I currently have a two amp system with 3 subs, components up front, co-axils in the rear and a Pioneer head unit. One thing I do not like is that the antenna goes up everytime the head unit is powered up, even if it's playing a CD. It also goes down when I'm switching CD's and back up when the CD starts playing. I think the stock one is the same way though.... can't remember. One way to get by this is to install a toggle switch in the antenna power wire. Then you can control when you want the antenna to get power and move up.

Thanks for all the info. - I have the stock Monsoon system, so I'll let you know how I make out. I may end up putting a switch in if it wants up in CD mode. Sounds like a good idea. Thanks again, Fish

Just installed, mine stays up when switching CDs, but I may still put a switch in, since I use the radio so much less than playing CDs.
