  • NO sound from subs &^%&*#!!!!!

Well, I know its not the subs that are messed up... because I can get sound out of them just NOT in my car. So... what can it be guys?

I replaced the RCAs, and remote wire... made sure the ground was secure as well as the power... The light comes on the amp too. I want to get new subs anyways cause mine are OLD but the thing is if I cant get the subs to work, I dont want to risk buying new ones and still having the same problem.

Please let me know if you have any idea. As far as i know the subwoofer out on the headunit is in the middle... Maybe I should reset it? I have an Alpine 9855 which works great. Just need the subs to work...

Try hooking up some smaller speakers to it, just to see if they work. **DON'T CRANK THE STEREO WITH THE SMALL SPEAKERS**** Unless you like blowing speakers. If they work on the amp, chances are its the subs. If they don't..... well take it to a local stereo shop and have them test the amp. Or if you have an extra, like this ever happens hook that one up in its place. If you replaced the RCA wires, and the light comes on, it should be working ok. I have never had an amp come on, but not work. Always end up seeing some smoke coming from the amp. Make sure that all your settings on your head unit are ok. Don't know if maybe the unit would have a subwoofer level output or anything.

That was going to be my first guess. A lot of headunit have this. If you disconnect the battery, all settings usually reset. Maybe you just forgot to turn the subout back on? It's been known to happen.

Next, you said that the subs play fine outside your car?? Explain this a little more please...
