  • dimming lights, so on........

whats up people, ok here is what is going on i got 2 mtx 8000's and a mtx 6500d amp. when i first installed them i was having real bad dimming of the headlights, so i bought me a 1 farard capacitor which worked out great. i had very little or no dimming and here recentely i have had an insane amount of dimming, so much that my check gauges light will come on(because voltage gauge is too low). this only happens when my headlights are on. jumps alot in the day but not nowhere near as bad. my first guess was the voltage regulator in the alt., so i bought a new alt. and it is still doing it. any suggestions guys. thanks in advance.

Did you ground out your cap accidently? normally capicitors come with a charging thing that you hook up when you first get it to charge it. try that again.

Actually there is some progress on lessing the dim. what worked for me was upgrading to 1/0g wire. skim thru that post.
