i put in my kenwood head unit the other day.. it works fine, came with a mp3 playing option.. when im playing a mp3 cd and i hit a bump instead of skipping like a regular cd would.. it tracks back to track #1.. when i put the unit in i felt it was a little loose, do i need an install kit or some kind of bracket?

Do your best to brace the head unit as best possible. My new X869 skips a little more than my old X915(which got stolen) but I think that's because I haven't done any additional bracing for the new one yet. That's a summer project.
I know Kenwood also recomends a specific folder organization pattern in the manual somewhere. You may want to reburn the mp3 CD with folders to help you navigate through the tracks.
Good luck, hope this helps.95 Camaro 3.4L A4
Bosch plugs/MSD wires, K&N FIPK , Magnaflow catback, hi-flo cat, B&M Shift+, Dee\'s spacer
Kenwood KDX-859, eXcelon Amps, Infinity Kappa 3-way doors and Perfect10 sub
Behold, the raw fury that is known as the 3.4!!!
