My gas gauge as crapped out...I'm sure someone else has had this problem as it seems to be pretty common in cars. GM says it'll cost $110 for a new sensor if that's what it is. My question is, how do I know for sure it's the sensor, and is GM my only option? How hard is a new sensor to put in?

Mine did the same about 2 - 3 months ago and I've made it with luck so far. Only ran E once ;)
My gauge will move from E - F alot while im driving, but it started happening the day I went and worked on the rear, so I'm starting to wonder that I knocked a wire loose or something.2000 M5 Pewter Firebird [Monsoon stereo]
16\" Centerline Galaxy Wheels . Headlight fix .
