Then put the camaro radio back in. Some radios are just better than others. I dont mean brands of radios I mean actual radios themselves. You could have just had a better camaro unit than firebird unit. I suggest getting an aftermarket headunit as well since the clarity, especially with aftermarket speakers, increases by leaps and bounds.

Just curious, why dont you want a new head unit. Many people will tell you its the most important piece in your system. You'll never get the best out of your speakers OR subs without an aftermarket deck.1998 Camaro V6 \"Black Mamba\"
Y87
Whisper Lid w/ K&N filter
Flowmaster American Thunder
Numerous appearance mods.
Car Domain

Haven't seen a good HU that lights up red? You failed to look at Eclipse decks then. They are great decks and you can change the illumination from green to red. The red is a near perfect match to the firebird red.Eclipse 8443, CDT ES-620s in doors (Clarion APX401.2), IEK, CDT 6X in rear(HU), Image Dynamics ID10v.3D.4 in stealthbox(Clarion DPX1001.2)
http://www.sounddomain.com/id/larryfirebird33
borla cat-back, FTRA, whisper lid

my JVC [I think it's a kdar600] was about $190, and one of the possible colors is a perfect matching red for the dashboard. It dims also to match when you turn the lights on. The stock background trim [you can swap them out for other color schemes] is a great match for the car as well. It's got 2 4v preamp outs and a subwoofer out. The only thing it doesn't have is adjustable crossover points for the sub. [I think it's fixed at 160hz or something]. You can of course get around this by using a preamp out and setting up the crossover on the amp manually.\'00 f-bird 3.8 M5 coupe, pewter metallic
Torsen LSD, Pro 5.0 shifter, Spec stage 1 clutch, Y87 muffler, aftermarket stereo
-more fun than the Oldsmobile it replaced...
