ok this one of mi very first alarms to install and i have several questions
1 wiring diagram (is there a website whit the
full wiring diagram for the birds
2 how hard is to install a two way car alarm
whit remote starter
(the alarm i got was a gift from my best
friend is a mannix
3 what else do i need to complete the install
(cause im a do it yourself kind of guy)
can somebody help me please

Dude belive me, if you dont know what your doing just take it somewhere.
You can easily burn out a wire if you dont do it right.
And you say your also going to install remote start? You know this is almost like hot wiring the car so you cant afford to get any of these wires mixed up.
It took an expert about 5 or 6 hrs to hook up the alarm in my car.
Also when you take it, do NOT have them place the brain right by the steering column as this is the most common place. You can have a $500 alarm and all the theive has to do is find the brain and tear it out and the car will start up.
Camarowidbass is right. If you absolutely have no clue or if you're completely unfamiliar with automotive wiring then you should take it somewhere to have it installed.
Although since you say you are do it yourself kinda guy and "IF" you know a little about auto-wiring...along with some time and patience, you could do it. I used to install remote starts and alarms so I would be happy to give you some tips along the way, I'm sure other people here will be willing to help as well.
A majority of your wiring connections (not all) are going to take place under the steering column. When I install an alarm, I think ahead as much as possible even before I begin installing the alarm. 1) What features on the alarm and remote start will you use and what features you wont. This is important because you'll find out that you will not end up using every single wire on the alarm. 2) Again, like Camarowidbass mentioned, think ahead as to where you'll install the "brain." It's a complete waste of time to just simply mount the alarm (brain) under the steering column. Some ideas would be to install the brain behind the A/C controls (if there is room) or behind the glove box (again, if there is room). Try to make it very difficult for a thief to find the brain. Another thing is wiring neatness. I'd recommend planning ahead as to where you'll route each wire so they will be nice and neat. Then once the wires are routed I'd wrap them with flex loom (just like the factory wire is). This way you'll make it look stock and clean; which also makes it more difficult for a thief to locate the wiring.
A two way paging alarm is no harder to install then a regular alarm, except for mounting the antenna. Remote Start might be a little tough(at least with my car). Im not sure about the the new GM's but some need a separate module for the spare key due to the key having a "chip" in it. It's basically just a resistor. The locks will be the hardest part to do however. Our cars have a 5 wire automatic locking and unlocking system. It's not too hard but your first time WILL be hell. I can get you the wiring schematic for the car. I work at best buy and we use the schematics for our cars. I don't suggest relying on it because they have have been wrong once in a great while. Use the schematic just as a guide and use a multimeter, not a test light. Tap into the wrong wire with a test light and there goes your airbag. and yes I'm really familiar whit this things I did a remote start on my old car an some other cars came out pretty good
but the only problem I have is figuring out the wires in the car

Here is a site to check out for some helpful wiring diagrams and to better understand how to wire alarms and remote starts.
According to this site, (96 and up) f-bodies don't use the 5-wire door lock setup. The site above shows in detail how to wire it up with 3-wires. The site also explains how to by-pass the Pass Key (chip in the key) feature by using resistors.
If this is your first install, its going to take many hours. Gather as many wiring schematics as you can.

Here is the wiring diagram for a 02 Camaro. Like some of the others have said if you are unsure take it somewhere and have it done. Some of the stuff you will need is, Soldering Iron, Solder, "Good" Electrical tape like 3M, Digital Multimeter, Wire strippers, and some hand tools to remove panels. Also if you are doing a remote start on your camaro it also requires you to setup a bypasss for the VATS system. It doesnt disable your VATS system just allows the car to remote start by sending the resistance value to the computer. So that will require mesuring the resistance in your key and getting a resisitor that matches that value also with a relay to hook it up. (check out www.the12volt.com they have a diagram of the Vats bypass on how to hook it up) Ive done several alarms and I also installed a Clifford Matrix rsx3.5 in my 90 firebird w/ VATS bypass.
