So i am going to get some new 6x9s cause i blew the 3 way sonys that i had in the back. I run them where the stock speakers used to be so i am going to be running them off the stock amp. I really want to go with infinity. The question is seeing that i they are so far back in the car and they are running off the stock amp if money isn't to big a worry, should i be going with 2 or 3 way and should i be going reference or kappa? I am willing to spend the extra 30 bucks on ebay for top of the line if it is worth it, but i don't want to waste my money if the stock amp and the fact they are way back in the cabin will make them all sound the same...just tell me what to do.

if youre running off the stock amp, getting the better speakers wont help that much. they can only play the awesome music loud if the awesome music is pumped by a good amp.Dave:

GM never should've put speakers that far in the back on these cars. In terms of those speakers that far back improving the overall quality of the sound system, it fails miserably in my opinion. Its kind of a waste of money to put fancy speakers that far back there because you won't be hearing them at their fullest potential anyway being that far back. I'd just buy some inexpensive two-ways to put back there if you want some rear fill and spend the big bucks on the speakers up front.2006 Tiburon
