Almost a year ago i got a nice deal on a 15' L7 with a Rockford Fosgate 800a2 amp. I got it installed everything has worked great untill now. 3 nights ago i pulled out of somewhere and the sub just quit hitting.
I figured it had a short. I shook the box a little bit and it would go in and out. The next day i took sub out of box. One of the wires from the side of the sub to the sub had broke. Looked like the solder had just gave way. Well i resoldered it and it was hitting fine. Once i put it back in the box it didnt sound the same. It almost sounded as if it was bottoming out. I figured id let my cousin play with my amp see if he could tone it down. He did this last night. The sub no longer sounds like its bottoming out. Today i tunred it up and it just doesnt sound as loud as it used to be. It still makes the steering wheel move abit and stuff. Its not like it was tho. The hatch barely rattles. I opened the hatch and started listening when bass hit.
It has a little bit of rattle coming from it when bass hits. Im not sure what a blown sub does so im asking. Do u think i finally blew my L7? It still moves alot. I wouldnt think it'd move as much if it was blown. This evening when my dad comes home im gonna take out out of the box and look at it closely. Should i look for any signs to see if its blown?
