• window problem...

well...my passenger window started acting weird. If i wanna put it down, it'll go down then it stops after like a 1/4 the way down, so i gotta sit and wait a little and it goes down a little more, and i gotta keep doing that. This happens even when i gotta put it up. my uncle checked it for me, he's can fix most things, and he said the switch is fine and everything. he thinks that there is a capacitor or something that gives the window motor a boost of power and that could be going bad cause you gotta wait for it to charge up...

so has anyone had this problem? do i have to change the motor? my friends Z28 is doing the exact same thing.

    Thanks for you help!

Sounds like you need a new window motor. Go to autozone and pick up one, just make sure it has a life time warranty. Here is an install guide:

    Good luck, it isn't fun!

Extremely common on the f-bodies. Your window motor is on it's last legs. I'm pretty sure there's a walkthrough in our FAQ page at the top of the forum.

Be sure to buy a replacement that has a lifetime warranty. Once you've gone through the trouble to replace it, doing it again later will be a piece of cake. I can guarantee that they will go out again, My driver's side is on it's third motor since 97.
