  • Mounting a sub- box?

Newbie here. I want to mount a Pick-up style sub- box in my 01 f body and I was wondering if I could use the tie down bolts, located behind the back seat, as an anchoring point. If I loosen the bolts to get a bracket under them will I lose the nuts they go into or is the nut fixed/taped? I hope this makes sense. thanks in advance for any help.

I highly doubt nuts are going to fall out from under the car once you take those bolts out. Whatever the bolts thread into should be permanently fastened. (e.g. welded). Take em out; you'll be fine.

they only go to a bracket welded over the top of the hump, they're blindnuts, so no worry about it falling out.
