I was wondering whether an already amplified signal is puts more load on an amplifier receiving that signal than one straight from the stereo. My case is this: I have the input going to my Bazooka amp coming from the after the Delco amplifier in the rear of the car. Is this going to put a heavier load on the Bazooka amplifier than if I had the input signal coming from BEFORE the Delco amplifier on my Camaro? The reason: I just blew my amplifier's inside capacitors to shreds (I have pics on my website if you want to see something amazing) after having this amp running only 1 DVC sub for about a month or two.

You say you were running a DVC sub? Did you wire in series or parallel? Some amps, especially the cheap ones, can't handle a 2omh load. Maybe that was it. Next time get an amp that can handle the impedance.
BTW - that amp was pretty blown...<b><i>1999 Pewter Trans Am M6 - Stock for now...<br />296.6 RWHP and 310.6 RWTQ</i></b> -<i>SOLD</i><p><i>\"There are vast amounts of money to be made in the sevice of the Lord!\"</i><br /><i>1994 Green Camaro M5 - <b>SOLD</b></i><p><br /><b><i>Associate of VENOM-VI</i></b>

It's a Bazooka Mono EL 1500 amp, stable to 2 ohms, so it definently can handle the load, it's been running that sub for almost two months flawlessly. I was just wondering if the already amplified signal increases the load the amplifier sees or not.<a href=\"http://home.comcast.net/~smpuskas/\" target=\"_blank\">http://home.comcast.net/~smpuskas/</a><br /><br />3A C-Fiber Pedals<br />Free Ram Air Mod + K&N<br />RK Sport Air Temp. BTW, yes the sub is wired in parallel. It has dual 4 ohm voice coils, so the total load on the amp is 2 ohms, but the amp is stable to 2 ohms anyways.<a href=\"http://home.comcast.net/~smpuskas/\" target=\"_blank\">http://home.comcast.net/~smpuskas/</a><br /><br />3A C-Fiber Pedals<br />Free Ram Air Mod + K&N<br />RK Sport Air Temp.
