windor motor slowing down

  • windor motor slowing down

    the passenger side window motor does down fine but when going up, when it's towards the top it slows down and barely makes it all the way. do i need to replace the window motor or is there another way? thanks

    The motor is probably on its way out to pasture. There is a slight chance that you need to re-lube the tracks, but if that is the case, then the motor is probably done for anyway. If you have to replace the motor, check this site out:

    I just installed power windows on my car yesterday (converted from crank) and this site helped me more than the directions from the company that sold me the kit! Be prepared though, this can be a real PITA.

      Both of my windows have done the same thing since I bought my car, and both ended up needing to be replaced.
