would it be hard to replace my regular antenna with a power antenna??

It's not hard; however, I would only buy a GM power antenna (the one that's used on the Firebird). The "universal fit" power antennas you see at places like Autozone are junk.

Note that the factory antenna use different brackets for pre-98 and 98+. All I had to do was plug it in.
