  • Left Driver Speaker Blown?

Hey. I'm trying to figure out if my left side driver speaker is blown out or not working. When I listen to a CD or a song, it seems, at points, they are stronger on the passanger side of the car, and back, but not my side (is it because I'm sitting in the drivers seat?).

When I adjust the balance and fade to upper left (driver side) it doesn't seem like one speaker is working ,but when I put it to upper passanger, it seems a lot more powerful.

Is there anyway to know for sure without tearing my door apart?

IF it's not working at all, it's a good sign its blown ;) . If it's really soft and distorted, then its probably blown also.

Set the fade and balance to that speaker and turn it up, if it sounds like **** or nothings coming, then you've probably toasted that speaker. ALso double check the connections to make sure they're tight.

dunno about the speaker, but on my '02 camaro you have to pull the door panel off to get the speaker out. it doesn't just unclip. stupid PITA design imo
