I can't seem to get a good reception from any fm station. I constintly here crackling in the speakers it is driving me nuts. I know that it is not the speakers because it is perfectly clear when I play a cd. Also I am pritty sure that it is not the headunit because it did it with my factory bose HU and still does it with my kenwood. It doesn't do it in either of my parents cars so I know that it is something with mine. Anybody have any Ideas? Is there any antenna boosters out there?

Hmmm... camaro or firebird? Got a power antenna? If so, is the antenna going up? Sorry, gotta ask. Sounds like wiring from the H/U to the antenna. Check all wiring at the antenna for loose connections or abrasions. Check the same behind the H/U. Pretty safe to assume all connetions are tight behind there since it was doing it with the stock H/U as well...but check for abrasions on the antenna wire. (Thick stiff black wire) If all of the above check good, get another antenna wire and pull the headunit out. Connect the second antenna wire to the headunit and just run it over your seats straight to the antenna. Connect it up. Crackling gone?
