  • Head Unit Installation???

Alright, i have a few questions about it.

    1. im getting the head unit out of a newer mustang. Will it fit and will i have to get any extra wiring harnesses or anything?

    2. are there any links online to help me with the installation of the head unit? this is the first time im doing it.

    thanks

It's a aftermarket aiwa cd player. I already have a older aftermarket cd player in my car if that helps at all.

My friend just installed it in their mustang like a month ago and decided they want to get rid of the car.

Is the head unit you have now a single din size? If so, you probably already have everything you need to do the swap.

Going from a stock 1.5din head unit to an aftermarket 1din head unit requires a dash kit, wiring harness and antenna adapter.

If that's the case, it should swap right in. If you have an aftermarket radio, you already have the wiring harness. Just cut the old wires to your radio and splice the new wires on.
